68-year-old man killed in a car accident in Sherbrooke

A 68-year-old man died Sunday evening in Sherbrooke after losing control of his vehicle and ending up in a ditch.

The incident, in which no other vehicles were reportedly involved, occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on Saint-Roch Road North.

According to information gathered by the Sherbrooke police, the vehicle reportedly left the road and rolled over several times. It reportedly came to rest in a ditch after overturning.

The 68-year-old man who was driving was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Sherbrooke Police Department has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Witnesses have been interviewed.

The road was closed to traffic for several hours on Sunday before reopening late in the evening.
