Agriplex now known as J-AAR Expo Centre, new sponsor wants to expand trade shows

London based J-AAR Construction is the new sponsor for the Western Fair Agriplex. The facility will now be known as the J-AAR Expo Centre.

The new corporate sponsor of London’s Western Fair Agriplex hopes to make the facility a major regional destination for trade shows.

In an event Friday, London based J-AAR Construction was named as the new sponsor with naming rights. The facility will now be known as the J-AAR Expo Centre.

“In addition to the big equipment you see in this room, we hope to see a lot more of it. This venue has hosted many events throughout the year. We’re looking to bring more in, and really solidify southwestern Ontario as the event centre, so people don’t always have to go to the GTA,” explained Western Fair Director of Agri Business Kris Dinel.

“We hope to expand on the agricultural foundation in bringing in other industries, especially construction,” said J-AAR Chief Operating Officer Mike Pratt. “We think there’s a huge opportunity to bring our construction community from west of Toronto into a facility that is not currently available outside of town.”

The new partnership between Western Fair and J-AAR is for 10 years.

The financial particulars of the deal were not made public.
