A serious collision closed New Dundee Road in Kitchener Sunday morning, according to the Waterloo Regional Police. Investigators said officers were at the scene on New Dundee Road near Reichert Drive around 3:10 a.m., where a grey Nissan Altima had struck a hydro pole. The driver, a 17-year-old male, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. Two 17-year-old male passengers were also taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. New Dundee Road remains closed between Robert Ferrie Drive and Dodge Drive while hydro crews’ complete repairs. The investigation is ongoing.
