Watch FIFA at the movies in Barrie

Residents hoping for a unique FIFA experience can get tickets to watch the highly anticipated soccer tournament, from a nearby movie theatre, including Barrie’s very own Cineplex.

Over the next several weeks, an estimated 300,000 people are expected to visit Toronto for the FIFA World Cup.

Many of the matches will be played in Toronto or Vancouver.

Tickets to these matches can be especially hard to get, due to high demand and the lottery system FIFA uses to distribute tickets.

Select Cineplex Cinemas across the country will be screening a number of matches from the FIFA tournament.

One of those locations includes Galaxy Cinemas in Barrie on Commerce Park Drive.

Tickets will be made available on the same day as the matches are to be played.

FIFA kicks off on June 11.
