Two people arrested after Charlottetown police seize half a kilogram of crystal meth

Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after Charlottetown police, supported by Canada Post Postal Inspectors, seized half a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine last Friday.

Police say they executed a search warrant at a Water Street residence and seized:

• 502 grams of crystal meth
• 187 (Dliaudid) hydromorphone pills
• bear spray
• cell phones

Tyler Lannigan, 36, and Shianne Ashford, 31, were charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say they accused were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
