Five arrested following recovery of stolen vehicles in Annapolis Valley: N.S. RCMP

Five people were arrested following the recovery of two stolen vehicles in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley this week.

The Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SWN SCEU) executed search warrants at an apartment on Hollow Drive in Middleton and on a vehicle during a traffic stop in a parking lot on Central Avenue in Greenwood on Monday.

“During the searches, investigators seized the vehicle, a white Dodge Ram which was found to be stolen, as well as weapons including a set of brass knuckles,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP.

A 40-year-old Middleton man was arrested during the traffic stop and will face property crime and weapons-related charges.

A 48-year-old Middleton woman was arrested at the apartment and will face similar charges.

Both were released on conditions pending a first court appearance at Annapolis Royal provincial court.

Two other people arrested and were released without charges.

SWN SCEU executed a search warrant at a property in the 5200 block of Highway 1 in Waterville on Tuesday. Police say a stolen BMW was recovered during the search.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and will face charges for property crime-related offences. He was released pending a future court appearance at Kentville provincial court.

“After the collection of evidence from the seized vehicles is complete, they will be returned to their owners,” reads the release.
