The New Brunswick RCMP have arrested two people in relation to a drug investigation that began in February. Members of the RCMP and Fredericton Police Force started investigating illegal drug trafficking in the Killarney Road and Penniac areas. Officers conducted search warrants at residences on Route 148 in Killarney Road and on River Road in Penniac around 5 a.m. on Wednesday. “During the searches, police seized quantities of what are believed to be cocaine, psilocybin, drug paraphernalia, and cash,” reads a news release from RCMP on Thursday. A 47-year-old man from Killarney Road and a 24-year-old man from Penniac were arrested without incident. Both men were released and will appear in court at a later date.
