A pedestrian is dead following a collision on Saturday near Fergus, Ont. Emergency crews responded to the collision on Wellington Road 29 involving a pedestrian around midnight, according to Ontario Provincial Police. Wellington Road 29 was closed between Eramosa-Garafraxa Townline and Sideroad 30 while emergency crews responded to the scene. One person was pronounced dead following the collision. The roadway reopened around 11 a.m. No further details about the victim or the circumstances of the collision have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
