Windsor police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of attempting to use forged government documents during a banking transaction earlier this year. Police say the incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on June 17 at a financial institution in the 3700 block of Tecumseh Road East. Investigators allege a man attempted to open an account and gain access to banking services using several forged government documents. The suspect is described as a Black man between 30 and 40 years old, standing about six feet tall with a medium build and short black hair. He is wanted on charges of fraud under $5,000, possession of identity information for a fraudulent purpose, and three counts of possession of identity documents.
