Third suspect arrested for ‘targeted’ home invasion in northern Manitoba

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a northern Manitoba home invasion that police believe was “targeted.”

On Monday, RCMP arrested a 23-year-old man at a home in Mathias Colomb Cree Nation.

The suspect was taken into custody on numerous charges, as well as two outstanding arrest warrants.

This arrest comes 10 days after the April 17 incident, which saw three male suspects allegedly force their way inside a home on Ballantyne Drive in the northern Manitoba community.

According to RCMP, all the suspects were armed with firearms and fled the scene before officers arrived.

Two suspects – ages 16 and 17 – were previously arrested in connection with the incident.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
