Ontario Provincial Police stopped an elderly driver who nearly got into a collision after driving the wrong way on Ottawa highways. Police say officers responded to reports of a wrong-way vehicle on highways 416 and 417 shortly after 5 p.m. Monday. “The vehicle was located near Pinecrest Rd., where it narrowly avoided a head-on collision,” OPP East Region said in a social media post. The driver, a 90-year-old man from Kanata, was also found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license.
