MHSAA names high school athletes of the year

CTV Winnipeg: High school athletes of the year The award winners were announced as the school year wraps up in Manitoba.

As the school year comes to an end the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association hands out Athlete of the Year awards.

The top female athlete prize goes to Paige Thomson from Neelin High School in Brandon. She is a graduating all-star in volleyball and basketball and was named to the all Manitoba basketball team.

On the boys side the winner is Ben Miller from Westgate Collegiate. He is a graduating all-star in volleyball and basketball.

Miller was captain of the AAA provincial basketball championship team, MVP, player of the year and a Carl Ridd award winner.
