First of Caddy Lake Tunnels closed to motorized boats: province

Boaters are being warned of some new restrictions at a popular attraction in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

According to the Manitoba government, the first tunnel of the Caddy Lake Tunnels is closed to all motorized watercraft because fallen rocks are obstructing clear passage.

It adds that canoers and kayakers should use the overland portage route to get to South Cross Lake.

An assessment of the obstructions will take place this spring.
