Body of missing 18-year-old found in river: Brandon police

Brandon Police Service has confirmed that the body of 18-year-old Owen Bedford, who was previously reported missing earlier this week, has been found in a river.

“At this time, our thoughts are with Owen’s family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult and painful time,” reads a post on social media from the Brandon Police Service.

“We extend our deepest sympathies and stand with them in their grief.”

Bedford was last seen on June 15 around 2 a.m. at an establishment in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue.
