Two women were taken to hospital after a driver crashed into a retirement home in Orléans Tuesday afternoon. First responders were called to the Chapel Hill Retirement Residence at the corner of Pagé Road and Innes Road just after 3 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a car backing into the building. A resident of the building was inside at the time of the crash, Ottawa police said. Ottawa paramedics say she was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The woman driving the car suffered minor injuries, according to paramedics, and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The crash resulted in damage to the front of the building, near the entrance. The car was still inside the building when CTV News Ottawa arrived just before 5 p.m. Ottawa police say an investigation remains ongoing. CTV News Ottawa has reached out to the executive director of the retirement home for comment.
