Man killed after being pushed down the stairs: WPS

A second-degree murder charge has been laid after a man was killed after police said he was thrown down stairs.

A man is dead after being pushed down the stairs at a west Windsor home, according to Windsor police. One suspect has been charged with second-degree murder.

Just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to an assault in the 3100 block of Wyandotte Street West. When police arrived on scene, officers said a fight happened in the home, resulting in a 53-year-old man being pushed down the stairs. The suspect fled the scene before police came.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died from his injuries.

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Kevin Christopher Harris. Later Thursday afternoon, he turned himself into Windsor police headquarters. He is now charged with second-degree murder.

This marks the third homicide in Windsor this year.
