Two teen girls found after going missing in Okanagan

Update: The two teenage girls have been found safe in Manitoba

Original story: The parents of two girls missing from B.C.’s Okanagan are asking for help to locate the missing teens.

Saylor Martian and Tina Kontos were seen leaving Enderby early Saturday morning and it’s believed they could be heading north or towards Northern Alberta.

They could be travelling by bus or hitchhiking.

Police say the girls are carrying backpacks but neither are prepared for the cold weather.

In a statement, Saylor’s mother expressed concern over their wellbeing.

"We just want them to know that we love them so very much and are so worried about them," said Trish Martian.

“So many family and friends are out their searching for them and we are all praying for their safe return. Please girls, just call someone and let us know where you are. Someone out there must have seen them -- please help us find them."

Police say both girls have struggled with personal and social issues.
