Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after an elderly pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle in Prince Edward County. OPP say officers were called to the collision at the intersection of County Road 17 and Miller Road, just east of Picton, at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday. The pedestrian, a 77-year-old man from Prince Edward County, was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead. The motorcycle rider sustained minor injuries. Country Road 17 remained closed for several hours between Lucks Crossroad and McKinley/Mitchells Crossroads before later reopening. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP.
