Midway through the second night of country singer Luke Combs’ show on Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, a song heard at many a soccer, basketball and, notably, Montreal Canadiens game rang out. During Combs’ classic drinking song “1, 2, Many” song, Habs captain Nick Suzuki, goalie Jakub Dobes, Cole Caufield and Brendan Gallagher joined the singer and shotgunned beers while fireworks exploded and the crowd started singing “Olé, Olé, Olé, Olé.” Other Habs players, as well as coach Martin St-Louis, were spotted at the show. It was the second night running a local legend joined Combs on stage. On Friday night, MMA icon George Saint-Pierre downed a beer with the singer for the song. Around 65,000 people were at Combs’ concerts, as he remains one of Quebec’s most sought-after singers. A Quebec Statistics Institute study in 2024 found that Combs was the sixth most-streamed artist, behind Taylor Swift, Drake, Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen and Billie Eilish. Combs was a major draw and broke attendance records on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City for the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) in 2022.
