Driver seriously injured in crash that closed Highway 403 westbound in Brantford

A portion of Highway 403 westbound was closed on Sunday while police investigated a crash that left one driver with serious injuries.

A section of Highway 403 westbound in Brantford was closed for several hours Sunday following a collision that left one driver with serious injuries.

Ontario Provincial Police said the crash occurred near Oak Park Road.

Police said a vehicle was travelling southbound when it crossed the westbound lanes of Highway 403 and came to rest in the centre median.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

The roadway reopened at approximately 7:50 p.m.
