Mark Drapak allegedly took ‘inappropriate photographs’ at University of Saskatchewan convocation

Mark Drapak, 45, has been charged with voyeurism in connection with an incident at the University of Saskatchewan.

In a notice sent to staff and students, the university said the incident happened Thursday morning at a convocation ceremony at Merlis Belsher Place. The university confirmed Drapak is an employee. He has been suspended.

Police said multiple reports were made about a man taking “inappropriate photographs of women without their consent.”

When police arrived, university security guards had Drapak detained.

“We have zero tolerance for this behaviour and will work with the Saskatoon Police Service on this incident,” the university said in its emailed memo.

Drapak is expected to appear at Saskatoon Provincial Court on July 6.
