Mounties on lookout for missing Alta. 82-year-old, last thought to be travelling through Sask.

Mounties are requesting help from the public to find 82-year-old Diane Cooper, who was reported missing to Alberta police on April 7.

According to RCMP, Cooper might be in the Saskatchewan or Alberta areas.

RCMP’s Consort, Alta. detachment said it believes that her vehicle was last seen travelling through Hoosier, Sask. at 10:51 p.m. on April 6.

“She is with her dalmatian dog and travelling in her grey Toyota C-HR XLE with Alberta licence plate LVA978. Police are sharing a photo of Diane’s vehicle travelling near Hoosier, as well as a photo of her dog. If Diane, her vehicle, or her dog, are seen, you are asked to contact your nearest police detachment,” read the release.

She is described as 100 pounds, five feet one inch tall, with blue eyes, white hair, and a slim build with eyeglasses.

RCMP said the search is being aided by various detachments patrolling roadways and by RCMP Air Services in both provinces.

People who have information about Cooper’s whereabouts are asked to contact Consort RCMP at 403-577-3001 or 310-RCMP (7267).
