Gun, knife and bear spray seized, Regina trio arrested in attempted robbery

Three people are facing charges after allegedly being caught with an array of weapons following an attempted robbery in Regina.

Regina police say the incident happened Sunday morning near the 4000 block of 5th Avenue.

According to a police news release, the victim was walking to work when he was approached by three men who demanded money from him.

The man fled and was chased to his workplace, where he was able to lock the door and call the police around 7:40 a.m.

The suspects fled the area but were arrested just moments later.

All three suspects have been charged with robbery.

One of them, 30, was also charged with possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition and carrying a concealed weapon.

Another, 26, was additionally charged with failing to comply with a conditional release order and possessing a weapon.

Regina police said officers seized bear spray, a knife and a firearm from the suspects.
