A 26-year-old man from North York has been charged with several offences in a case that began June 18 in Sudbury as a home invasion. A 37-year-old man was injured in the home invasion, which took place on St. Charles Street. Sudbury police’s break, enter and robbery unit arrested the suspect in the case June 30. “Upon searching the individual incident to arrest, detectives located and seized 43.4 grams of cocaine, 7.6 grams of fentanyl and $2,036.35 in cash,” police said in a news release July 2. In addition to the home invasion and the assault, the North York man is also charged with two counts each of drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He was in bail court Canada Day, police added.
