More eastern Ontario attractions now part of Canada Strong Pass

Upper Canada Village is now part of the Canada Strong Pass as more museums and provincial parks get added across the country.

Implemented in June, the Canada Strong Pass is funded by the federal government to allow for free or discounted admission to national parks, as well by VIA Rail, to promote Canadian tourism.

Now, Upper Canada Village, east of Morrisburg, Kingston’s Fort Henry and Brockville’s Fulford Place have been added to the list as the initiative expands.

The pass means those 17 and under will be given free admission, while those aged 18 to 24 get half off.

Canadians are not required to sign up for the pass which runs until Sept. 2, 2025.

A total of 87 provincial and territorial museums and galleries are participating in the pass. It also includes the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.

Upper Canada Village has been a staple in the region since 1961, offering participants a glimpse of the lifestyle in Canada during the 1860s.
