Ottawa police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who allegedly stole a specialty bike designed for a man with cerebral palsy in Alta Vista. Police say the three-wheeled custom-made bicycle was stolen from a residential driveway in Alta Vista between July 12 and July 14. The suspect is described as a man with long brown curly hair past his shoulders with tanned skin. He was wearing a red T-shirt, black pants, with patches and black rubber or motorcycle-style boots. He was also carrying a black backpack. Anyone with information about this individual’s identity or the incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-122 ext. 4713. Police said the owner of the bicycle was custom-made for a man with advanced Parkinson’s disease. The owner of the bike told CTV News Ottawa on Thursday he has cerebral palsy.
