Those making minimum wage in Saskatchewan will see a slight increase in their pay as of Thursday - but the number is still among the lowest in the country. Saskatchewan is one of five provinces to see the minimum wage increase. The province’s minimum wage went up 35 cents, increasing from $15.35 to $15.70. The last time it went up prior to Thursday was Oct. 1, 2025. Saskatchewan determines the minimum wage using a formula tied to the Consumer Price Index. Alberta is the only province with a lower minimum wage, at $15 an hour. The highest minimum wage in Canada is in Nunavut, at $19.75. With files from David Prisciak and Caitlin Brezinski
