Ottawa could hit 30 C for the first time this week

Ottawa is set to enjoy a stretch of sunshine and warm temperatures this week, with daytime highs to hit 31 C on Thursday.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mainly sunny day today. High 25 C.

There will be a few clouds tonight. Low 10 C.

Wednesday will be mainly sunny. High 28 C.

Thursday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with a high of 31 C. Environment Canada says sunshine is expected on Thursday.

The outlook for Friday calls for a mix of sun and cloud. High 24 C.

Saturday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 25 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 23 C and a low of 12 C.

30 C days

Thursday could be the first day Ottawa sees a temperature above 30 C this year.

The temperature hit 29 C twice in May – 29.5 C on May 26 and 29.2 C on May 19.

The first day the temperature hit 30 C in 2025 was June 4, with a high of 30.4 C.
