Mild temperatures to end February in Ottawa

Ottawa residents will enjoy a mild end to February, before below-seasonal temperatures return for the start of March.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a high of 2 C today and 0 C on Saturday, before temperatures drop to -16 C Saturday night and then daytime highs of -10 C on Sunday and Monday.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of -1 C and a low of -10 C.

Periods of snow will end near noon and then it will be mainly cloudy today. High 2 C.

It will be partly cloudy this evening then become cloudy near midnight. There will be a chance of showers or flurries overnight. Low -1 C.

Saturday will be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries in the morning. Environment Canada says the temperature will drop to -7 C in the afternoon.

Sunday, the first day of March, will see a mix of sun and cloud. High -10 C.

The outlook for Monday calls for sunshine. High -10 C.

Tuesday will be cloudy. High -3 C.
