Man from Perth suffers life-threatening injuries following collision

Ontario Provincial Police say a 33-year-old man from Perth suffered life-threatening injuries in a car crash early Saturday.

According to a statement from OPP, officers were called to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 43, west of Glenview Road at 1 a.m. The intersection of Highway 43 and Glenview Road is approximately three kilometres northwest of Smiths Falls.

Police say the pick-up truck left the road while travelling westbound on the highway. The man was the only passenger in the truck and was taken to a trauma centre by paramedics.

The incident is being investigated and OPP ask anyone with relevant information to call 1-888-310-1122.
