Two people have been charged with impaired driving in Essex County in separate incidents over the weekend. One person was charged following a crash in Leamington on Sunday at 12:06 a.m. Officers investigated the single-vehicle collision on Highway 77 near Mersea Road 8. A 26-year-old Leamington man was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences: On Saturday at 7:43 p.m., officers investigated traffic complaints on Gloucester Drive and Cumberland Way in Essex. A 34-year-old Essex man was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences: For both drivers, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused drivers were scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor in July 16 to answer to the charges.
