Cooler temperatures in Ottawa on Wednesday with flurries or showers at night

Cooler temperatures continue in Ottawa Wednesday, with a high of around 1 C in the afternoon.

The usual high for this time of year is closer to 5 C.

Environment Canada’s weather forecast for the capital calls for a mix of sun and cloud on Wednesday.

By the evening, however, expect a cloudy sky with flurries or rain showers and a risk of freezing rain. The overnight low is 0 C.

Thursday’s outlook is warmer than normal, with a high of 8 C. Periods of rain are expected throughout the day.

Friday’s forecast is sunny and well below normal, with a high of -3 C.

There is a chance of flurries on Saturday. Warmer weather is expected to return on Sunday.
