Ottawa Fire Services says five people have been displaced following a fire in Stittsville on Thursday. Firefighters were called to Fernbank Road, southwest of Stittsville Main Street, at around 6:45 p.m. for a house that was reported to be engulfed in flames. Everyone inside the home was able to evacuate safely, and Ottawa paramedics confirm no injuries were reported. It took approximately 90 minutes to get the blaze under control. Victim services will be helping the affected residents, Ottawa Fire Services says.
