Thunder Bay police seek victims in criminal harassment investigation

The Thunder Bay Police Service is continuing an investigation into criminal harassment following reports of a suspicious vehicle in the city’s downtown core with officers seeking other potential victims.

“Officers began an investigation into a suspicious vehicle on January 28, 2026, following multiple reports about the vehicle – a silver older model of Dodge Ram pickup truck,” police said in a news release Saturday.

Police said a person in the same truck has been seen attempting to pick up woman in Thunder Bay’s downtown core.

Suspect description

The driver is described as an Indigenous male, roughly 40-50 years-old, with a heavy build and a shaved head.

The police service said several units are now involved in the ongoing investigation.

Officers located and took a suspect into custody in the case on Jan. 30.

Police ask public for information

The police service is looking for other victims that may have been impacted.

A tip line has been established at 807-701-5417.

“Those providing information to the tip line must include their name and phone number so investigators can follow up,” said police.
