Help ID Walmart theft suspects in Sault Ste. Marie

Sault police and Crime Stoppers ask for help identifying two suspects in a $250 theft from the Walmart Superstore on Great Northern Road on April 13.

Sault police and Crime Stoppers have released surveillance images and are seeking the public’s help to identify two suspects in a theft investigation at the local Walmart.

Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, issued a plea for help last week and detailed the incident.

Suspects sought

Authorities said the incident occurred on April 13 at the Walmart Superstore location on Great Northern Road.

“Two unknown females entered the store and were observed by store security taking merchandise valued at $250,” Crime Stoppers said in a news release.

“The suspects proceeded to exit the store separately with the merchandise.”

Images released

Authorities shared surveillance images and video showing the suspects exiting the retailer.

Appealing to the community

“Do you recognize these individuals?” asked Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Sault police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

“If you have information, contact Crime Stoppers,” the organization said in a related online video.
