Drivers in Montreal and on the South Shore should be aware of closures on the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge over the next two weekends for road surface work. This weekend, the southbound span will be closed, and the following weekend, the northbound span will be closed. From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., the southbound span (towards Brossard) of the bridge will be closed. As a result, the following closures will be in place: There will be detours in place. Drivers are recommended to divert their routes at the Turcot Interchange and take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge. The following weekend, from Aug. 28 at 11 p.m. to Aug. 31 at 5 a.m., the northbound span (towards Montreal) will be closed.
