Samuel-De Champlain Bridge southbound to be closed this weekend

Drivers in Montreal and on the South Shore should be aware of closures on the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge over the next two weekends for road surface work.

This weekend, the southbound span will be closed, and the following weekend, the northbound span will be closed.

From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., the southbound span (towards Brossard) of the bridge will be closed.

As a result, the following closures will be in place:

• The Highway 15 South – Highway 20 East, from junction 63-West to the Route-132 East service road for the A-10 E (Eastbound slip road)
• The Girouard Avenue access ramp towards Highway 15 South
• Exit 68 from Highway 20 East towards Highway 15 North and Highway 15 South (Ramps G and J)
• The exit service road towards Highway 15 South from exit 1-S on Highway 20 E / Décarie Boulevard / Saint-Rémi Street (Service road M)
• Exit 62 on Highway 15 South towards de La Vérendrye Boulevard
• The service road from de La Vérendrye Boulevard towards Highway 15 South
• The service road exit 61 from Highway 15 South towards Atwater Avenue
• Exit 57-N from Highway 15 South towards Pointe-Nord Road
• Exit 6 from Highway 10 East towards Highway 20 East / Highway 15 South / Route-132
• Exit 4 from Highway 10 East
• Exit 5 on Highway 10 East
• Access to Highway 15 South from L’Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard
• Pont Champlain Street from René-Lévesque Boulevard

There will be detours in place.

Drivers are recommended to divert their routes at the Turcot Interchange and take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.

The following weekend, from Aug. 28 at 11 p.m. to Aug. 31 at 5 a.m., the northbound span (towards Montreal) will be closed.
