Montreal consumers are being asked to check their fridges for a savoury dipping sauce that might be contaminated with Hepatitis A. Quebec’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPAQ) has issued a recall for the product, called “Le” Dip - “The” Dip, sold at Fressers at 5737 Décarie Boul. in Montreal in 250 millilitre and 500 millilitre formats. The affected item is sold in a clear, plastic container in the refrigerated section with a best before date of Aug. 2, 2026, or earlier. People who bought the recalled item are urged not to consume it and to discard it right away, even if it shows no sign of spoilage or suspicious odor. The recall was issued as a precaution and there have been no reported illnesses. If anyone develops symptoms, they should contact their health-care provider. Consumers who have questions about the recall can email smsaia@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca.
