Temperatures to swing into double digits as overcast skies, rainfall to dominate London’s forecast

Make sure to enjoy your upcoming Saturday as it will be the only sunny day with cloudy skies and possible rainfall set to dominate London’s forecast.

According to CTV News London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, rain is not expected to last much longer and will start to wind down Thursday evening with cloudy conditions holding. Winds will be sustained at 30 km/h with gusts of up to 50 km/h, with a daytime high of 19 C.

The low will dip down to 4 C overnight Thursday, with showers beginning overnight and the risk of a thunderstorm in the evening.

“It’ll stall out as a stationary boundary and then an area of low pressure will ride along that boundary bringing back the rainfall for your Friday,” Atchison said.

Steady rainfall will be in store Friday morning, with a risk of freezing rain heading towards the Bruce Peninsula. Atchison says temperatures are expected to drop but will be close to where we should be for this time of year, with a high of 10 C.

Temperatures will drop below freezing overnight Friday with a low of –2 C with the rain set to end and cloudy periods in store.

“As we head into your Saturday conditions looking absolutely beautiful. We have lots of sunshine in the forecast,” Atchison said, with a high of 11 C expected for the start of the weekend.

Make sure to enjoy the sunshine on Saturday however, as plenty of cloudy weather and possibility of rainfall is expected over the course of several days beginning on Sunday.

It’s not all bad news however, as daytime highs of between 18 C to 20 C are expected for the latter half of the weekend and early into next week.

Friday: Showers ending in the afternoon then cloudy. Wind becoming northwest 20 km/h in the afternoon. High 10. UV index 2 or low.

Saturday: Sunny. High 11.

Monday: Cloudy with 40 percent chance of showers. High 20.
