A 56-year-old woman from Steinbach is dead following a weekend motorcycle crash in Whiteshell Provincial Park. According to Manitoba RCMP, officers from the Falcon Beach detachment responded to a crash on Highway 44 near Provincial Road 312 on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. According to a news release, a group of motorcycles were heading east on Highway 44 when one motorcycle lost control and flipped in the south ditch. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
