Bail denied for man behind ‘Creeper Hunter TV’

‘Creeper Hunter’ Jason Nassr was in court Monday where he was denied bail in connection to an arrest in late October.

After a bail hearing which lasted all day Monday, Jason Nassr, 45, the man who created Creeper Hunter TV was denied bail and remains in custody at the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre.

Nassr was arrested last week and is accused of breaching his release conditions by attending a screening of a documentary about himself and his website at the Forest City Film Festival in downtown London, Ont.

At the same time, it was also being attended by the family of some of his victims. A condition of his release included staying at least 200 metres away from his victims and their families.

London police arrested and charged him with two counts of harassment and one charge of failing to comply with a release order.

In February of 2023, Nassr was found guilty on several charges including distributing child pornography, harassment, and extortion.

The court heard that through Creeper Hunter TV, Nassr would post videos online posing himself as a young girl to try and catch alleged predators.

One of the men he confronted would later die by suicide.

The day-long bail hearing was conducted video Zoom with Nassr being at the detention centre wearing an orange jumpsuit.

A ban on publication was placed on any evidence heard during the proceedings.

The matter is back in court on Wednesday.
