Cocaine and cash seized in Guelph drug investigation

Guelph Police have arrested a man after seizing cocaine and cash following a drug investigation.

Members of the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit say they saw an adult man engaging in activity consistent with drug trafficking on Thursday.

The man was arrested around 5:10 p.m., inside a building near the intersection of Fife Road and Elmira Road South.

Police say a search during the arrest revealed $2,745 of Canadian currency and 307.47 grams of cocaine ($30,747 if sold by the gram).

A 41-year-old man from Guelph was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and breaching probation.
