Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a break-in at a home in Waterloo’s Beechwood neighbourhood. The property, near Thornlea Court and Keats Way, backs onto a trail system. Police believe the suspect, or suspects, used it to gain access to the backyard and then damaged a glass door to get inside the home around 1:15 a.m. on Friday, July 24. The residents told officers some of their personal property was taken, including jewelry. Police are asking neighbours to check their security or dash cam videos for any suspicious activity in the neighbourhood around 1 a.m. The information can be submitted to the Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) team at 519-570-9777, extension 8255.
