One injured after altercation involving weapon at Waterloo bar

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a man was injured during an altercation involving a weapon at a licensed establishment in Waterloo.

Police were called to the area of King Street North and Princess Street East at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Saturday.

Police said a male victim sustained lacerations after being struck in the face with a weapon. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are asking businesses and residents in the area to review security footage between 1:15 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
