A 17-year-old girl involved in an early-morning car crash last week in Calgary has died from her injuries. Police say officers were called to the area of 26 Street S.E. and 25 Avenue S.E. on June 24 just after 3:30 a.m. after the driver of a Volkswagen drove into an unoccupied and parked GMC Savana. The force from the crash caused the Savana to hit a parked Mazda 3, which was also unoccupied. Paramedics rushed the teen driving the Volkswagen to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition. Police said in a Monday afternoon release the girl had died. Speed is being investigated as a factor of the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
