Man charged in connection to armed robbery at Cambridge convenience store

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery at a Cambridge convenience store earlier this month.

On Feb. 5 around 2 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the area of Elgin Street North and Linwood Avenue.

Police say a male suspect stole cash after confronting an employee while waving a knife.

The suspect then ran away from the store.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man on Thursday and charged him with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent and possessing a dangerous weapon.
