Man arrested following string of commercial break-ins in Cambridge

The Waterloo Regional Police Service have arrested a man in connection to “multiple commercial break-ins” in Cambridge.

Police said between April 29 and May 12 of this year, they responded to several reports of break-ins at businesses in the area of Sheldon Drive.

“In one instance, on May 10, 2025, over $800,000 worth of property was stolen from a local business,” police said in a media release.

On Friday, police arrested a man in connection to these incidents.

A 38-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with the following offences:

• Break and Enter (three counts)
• Trafficking Stolen Property over $5,000 (two counts)
• Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 (two counts)
• Identity Theft
• Possession of Identity Document
• Possession of Stolen Credit Card

Police said the man was also wanted on outstanding warrants by Waterloo Regional Police and Peel Regional Police for property offences and failing to appear for court.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
