Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision. Investigators say the incident happened Saturday around 6 p.m. on Highway 6 between Sideroad 3 and Sideroad 4 in Mount Forest, in the Township of Wellington North. According to police, the vehicle left the road and went into a ditch. The driver, a 53-year-old from Mount Forest, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. Highway 6 was closed between Sideroad 3 and Sideroad 4 for investigation Saturday night, reopening at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday. The investigation remains ongoing.
