Brantford Bulldogs and North Bay Battalion game postponed by flooding

Game 4 of the Brantford Bulldogs and North Bay Battalion Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playoff series has been postponed.

The OHL announced Tuesday game was postponed due to flooding from Chippewa Creek near the Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens arena.

According to the City of North Bay, all side streets within the King Street, Chippewa Street, Cassells Street and Fisher Street area were limited to local traffic only as water levels continued to rise.

“The current conditions present potential safety concerns, including limited access for emergency vehicles and challenges related to the safe entry and exit of those participating and attending the game in the event of an emergency,” a notice from the league said.

Game 4 will now take place in North Bay on Wednesday with puck drop scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs currently lead the series 3 – 0. A win tomorrow would end North Bay’s playoff run.
