Disappearance of Saskatchewan woman in Edmonton considered suspicious: EPS

The disappearance of a Saskatchewan woman last seen in Edmonton two months ago is suspicious, police said on Thursday.

Natanis Merasty, 24, was last seen on May 5 at the Continental Inn on 166 Street and Stony Plain Road in Edmonton.

Her family reported her missing on May 9.

Merasty is from La Ronge, Sask., but the Edmonton Police Service took over the investigation on May 22.

She has long brown hair, brown eyes and an average build, EPS said. She drives a 2007 black Hyundai Tucson with a Saskatchewan plate.

Her disappearance is considered suspicious, and friends and family are concerned for her wellbeing, police said.

EPS will hold a press conference about Merasty’s disappearance at 11 a.m. on Friday.
