Temperature drop continuing in Calgary

Cold and windy weather to continue for the rest of the week.

The temperature will continue to drop in Calgary this week.

On Thursday, it will still be around the freezing mark by 8 a.m., and it will only get up to a high of 4 C in the afternoon.

Gusts will likely max out around 70 kilometres per hour again in the city, and there will be a mix of sun and cloud in the morning with the clouds increasing in the afternoon.

A big upper-level low will dig its heels into Saskatchewan Friday, which is expected to pump even colder air and a little snow into southern Alberta — Calgary included.

Conditions will start to improve on Sunday, but it will remain cold until Monday. The good news is next week will be warm and bright.
